Enjoyed a pleasant dining experience while staying at the attached Crowne Plaza for work. Relaxing, quiet atmosphere with good views from top floor penthouse level. All the dishes sampled were excellent and as you'd expect well presented. Recommend you order side dishes if hungry as the main course meals can be a little on the small side - as you'd expect from any MPW or similar dining establishment. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Our main host and server, Keira, was simply amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable and polite, nothing was too much trouble; impeccable service with a smile throughout. Will be visiting again.

If you haven't been here before and get a chance, jump at it. The food is amazing. It is a bit more upmarket in terms of pricing, of course, but you get what you pay for in terms of food service and a lovely restaurant. I was fortunate enough to be invited to a birthday here. I had the squid for a starter. It was some of the nicest cooked squid I have eaten. It was super crispy, had a light batter, and was tender inside. It came with this delicious Tartare sauce that appeared to have been made fresh. I do not usually like Tartare, so that is saying something. My cod and chips main was equally nice and fresh. There is not a lot you can do with cod and chips, but it was cooked nicely and super tasty. It had that fresh tartare and the lemon it came with was wrapped in a bit of muslin cloth so you could squeeze it and not have seeds fall over your fish. It is these little touches that give you that elevated dinner experience. I also had a lovely cocktail and a pudding, both of which were delicious.

My daughter and I enjoyed afternoon tea, which I received as a Mothers Day gift. It was a very special experience and one we will remember. The staff were friendly, professional, and attentive. The food was presented in a lovely stand. It was tasty and perfectly portioned. The restaurant is in the Penthouse, and so the views out to see really made the experience more memorable. If I could improve anything, it would be the scones that appeared the type you would buy in a supermarket, out of a packet, dry and mass produced, they were enjoyable but didn't reflect the high standard of everything else. But everything was so nice that this was just a minor observation. It was very quiet, so we felt a bit awkward until others arrived for lunch but better than it being bustling. An excellent experience

This sentiment is echoed by Paul Watson, who described the crispy squid starter as "some of the nicest cooked" he has ever encountered, further praising the homemade tartare sauce that accompanies it. The star of the show may be the outstanding main courses; however, keep in mind that portion sizes can be on the smaller side—a common theme in high-end dining. Dan advises that ordering sides can enrich your experience and fulfill your appetite. His choice of cod and chips exemplifies how even simple comfort food can be elevated when approached with artistry and care. The thoughtful presentation, right down to the muslin-wrapped lemon, demonstrates the little touches that truly set Marco Pierre White apart.
